Little Art Theatre of Yellow Springs Collection

Abstract

The collection contains program guides, brochures, posters, and artwork detailing movies shown at the Little Art Theatre of Yellow Springs, Ohio over more than fifty years. Also included are numerous promotional photos sent to the theatre from film distributors and studios. The Little Art Theatre was one of a network of small theatres that screened mainly foreign and independent films.

Jerusha Hall Peacock Papers

Abstract

Jerusha Peacock was a student at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio in the early 1860s, and later taught at Antioch's Preparatory School from 1865-1873. Her papers consist of letters written primarily to her mother and sisters, essays, a collection of her poetry, and a sketchbook. Peacock's letters colorfully describe her life at Antioch, her travels, acquaintances, and activities.

Socialist Feminist Conference Records

Records in this collection document the planning and organization of a national Socialist Feminist conference held in July, 1975, at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Materials include organizational papers, steering committee minutes, correspondence, working papers, registration details, women's movement pamphlets, printed materials, and audiocassettes relating to the conference. Nine socialist-feminist organizations sponsored this event.

Paul Webb Collection

Abstract

The Paul Webb Collection consists of records and files accumulated by the research firm Webb Associates during the course of experiments in human physiology and calorimetry between 1972 and 1984, as well as articles, book drafts, and other publications on similar topics, written by or citing Dr. Paul Webb. The collection also contains several Vari-Temp suits which were part of a calorimeter designed and used by Dr. Webb, as well as prototype space activity suits also designed by Webb.

Yellow Springs Community Council Records (MS-566)

Abstract

The Yellow Springs Community Council (YSCC) was an umbrella organization under the United Way of Dayton. The United Way of Dayton would allocate money to the YSCC and, in turn, the YSCC would disseminate that money to the smaller non-profits in Yellow Springs. Materials include bylaws, meeting minutes, financial statements, balance sheets, funding requests, and both internal and external correspondence.
